I am not a girl (obviously), but I have several of the games on this list and several games are games I want to get. My mom and sister haven't played the Switch much because they don't have one, but they enjoyed playing Pokemon Shield on my Switch. They also like games like Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon. My mom doesn't play a ton of games, but she likes games that are less violent and/or a good RPG. My sister plays mostly PC games. She likes Mass Effect, Bioshock, Civilization 5/6, The Sims, Dragon Age, etc…She plays all sorts of games.

Games were/are traditionally viewed a male pass-time, and many people still believe that. Yeah, shocking. Definitely also a good way to change that ignorant idea or “mind set” that games are only for boys. Now younger girls are seeing it and knowing that they can play too. Not just their brothers or boys.
So many great games on this list. I'm sure your daughter is having great time with the Switch and to quote the late great Satoru Iwata video games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone. ☺️

All of the games mentioned in the video are low on violence, colourful and challenging. It looks a lot like what most 8 year old girls would like to play. It's probably what a parent would search on youtube while picking games to buy for his daughter. Good video.

Hey does anyone have any suggestions on some games I should get for my mom? She just got a switch lite and idk what games I should get for her. The only games she’s like so far is Mario cart, over cooked and and the captain toad game. I like action/RPG games like moonlighter, hollow knight and dead cells and Ik she won’t like games like that so if anyone has some suggestions that would be great!
Question for just dance do you need to have the actual switch or dose it work with the lite as well?
